The Chemical-Manufacturing Labour Cooperative SPOIWO has been existing since 1950. In 1996 it was granted to and became property of cooperative's members.
At present, there are70 workers employed and since 1996 the Cooperative has been constantly developing on the field of new activations, especially for the needs of coal mining, copper and mountain railway, specializing in products such as high friction inserts for drive sheaves and koepe winders. Those linings are the results of the long lasting cooperation with the Mining - Metallurgical Academy- Department of Line Transport in Cracow. SPOIWO manufactures rubber mixtures according to the own formulas and technological preparations, it owns the research - development base, the physical-chemical laboratory and a tool room. The Cooperative constantly controls the quality of the production and keeps the technological supervision. Our products have the certificate of the Main Mining Institute and allowances of the Higher Office of Mining. 
SPOIWO manufactures different kinds of technical seals, press moulded for the water pipes made of spheroidal graphite iron (we posses PZH certificate for drinking water contact):
The direction we chose to follow turned out to be the right one and the systematic increase in turnover as well as strong and stable position on the domestic and foreign market prove it. For our achievements we were awarded a silver medal during the EUREKA 2003 Fair Trade in Brussels.
